General Purpose
Assists in the execution of PacifiCorp’s internal compliance program, including the development, implementation, coordination, and maintenance of compliance activities related to Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requirements, as well as documentation and development of evidence packages.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day execution of PacifiCorp’s regulatory compliance program to ensure adherence to FERC requirements, including standards of Conduct for Transmission Providers, affiliate restrictions, and the Open Access Transmission Tariff.
- Facilitate the development and maintenance of processes and controls demonstrating compliance with FERC regulations.
- Conduct periodic monitoring (e.g., spot checks, reviews, assessments) on controls supporting FERC compliance.
- Act as a liaison between PacifiCorp and neighboring utilities regarding FERC rules and initiatives.
- Support the development, maintenance, and provision of compliance documentation.

- Evaluate the design and implementation of PacifiCorp’s internal compliance program regularly.
- Implement programs, procedures, and policies to facilitate compliance, including change control, configuration management, asset management, and security testing procedures.
- Recommend project plans, timelines, and budgets to management, and monitor progress.
- Provide strategic direction for project plans, goals, and timelines.
- Develop communication and implementation plans to ensure sustainability of programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with plant and field personnel to support FERC-related projects.
- Review and address compliance issues, including root cause analysis, mitigation plans, reporting, and follow-up activities.
- Facilitate progress on compliance activities, including mitigation plan development and documentation.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years professional experience.
- Knowledge of regulatory rules, policies, procedures, and practices.
- Project management, analysis, assessment, and investigation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve sensitive compliance issues.
- Ability to work across all organizational levels and with diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency with PCs, spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and presentation applications.
