Sr. Competitive Technical Marketing Engineer

This role has been designed as a ‘Hybrid’ position, with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

Job Title: Senior SASE Competitive Technical Marketing Engineer

Within the Go-To-Market/Business Operations team, the Competitive TME provides critical competitive analysis, intelligence, and comparisons of HPE Aruba Networking with industry vendors. This role involves collaborating with Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to deliver technical content and competitive insights.

The successful candidate will effectively communicate HPE Aruba Networking’s competitive advantages, tailored to customer use cases, and gather valuable product feedback.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with technical experts across HPE Aruba Networking products.
2. Serve as a competitive technical expert for the SASE portfolio, focusing on SWG, CASB, ZTNA, DLP, and FWaaS.
3. Compare network topologies and solutions in lab environments.
4. Develop and deliver technical content such as whitepapers, battlecards, solution briefs, videos, and blogs aimed at security architects, CISOs, and technical buyers.
5. Present at HPE Aruba Networking events and webinars.
6. Create technical collateral including testing reports, competitive analysis reports, sales collateral, and contribute to updates.

Required Skills:

1. BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
2. 7+ years of networking or technical experience.
3. Deep understanding of SD-WAN, SASE, or SSE technologies.
4. Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, TLS/SSL, VPN, proxy, NAT, routing/switching.
5. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and identity providers (Okta, Entra ID, Ping).

Preferred Skills:

1. Recognized industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, PCNSE, ZCCA-IA, or equivalent.
2. Experience with Zscaler, Netskope, Prisma, Cisco Umbrella, and related integrations.
3. Experience with network testing tools like Keysight/Ixia, Spirent, Ekahau.

Additional Skills:

Knowledge in Cloud Architectures, Cross Domain, Design Thinking, Development Fundamentals, DevOps, Distributed Computing, Microservices, Security-First Mindset, and User Experience (UX).
