One of The Sage Group’s clients is looking for a Sr Competitive Analyst to build out a model to report on sales win/loss of accounts. Solid experience with Salesforce to pull data, Excel, and Tableau is required. The client focuses on cutting-edge cybersecurity.

You will focus on designing, developing, and implementing a quarterly competitive win/loss analysis using Salesforce.com data (quantitative analysis) and interviews with account teams (qualitative analysis). The goal is to understand real win/loss rates against key competitors and the reasons for wins or losses in accounts, along with additional projects.

Current State:

  • The win/loss analysis process is manual and error-prone.
  • Additional analysis projects are also involved.

Desired State:

  • At each FQ start, collect all competitive opportunities (won or lost) from the previous FQ, clean the data, and analyze to produce key metrics: win/loss rate in new accounts vs. renewals, with a competitor as incumbent, by product category, GEO, and customer type.
  • Develop and approve methodology, then show trends over time.

Your Skills:

  • Experience working with Salesforce data and extracting data for reports.
  • Previous experience in win/loss analysis and model building.
  • Expertise with Google Sheets, Tableau, Excel.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to package results in an executive-level presentation, preferably in Tableau.

Duration: 12 months with possible extension.

Location: 100% remote in the USA.

Part-time options: Freelance work off-hours (~4-6 weeks at 40 hours/week per quarter), or candidates available for 32 hours/week as a primary role.

Compensation: $70-85/hour freelance or $55-70/hour at 32 hours/week with benefits.
