We are seeking an experienced Senior Commissioning Analyst to support startup, testing, and commissioning activities for large-scale natural gas compression and energy infrastructure projects across West Michigan. This is a highly field-focused role supporting multiple active projects in the region, with a primary base near the Overisel Compressor Station.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead startup, testing, and commissioning activities for new and existing electrical, mechanical, and controls equipment
- Perform hands‑on technical checkout: wiring, panels, valves, instrumentation, point‑to‑point checks
- Read, redline, and mark up prints and P&IDs
- Ensure commissioning plans, checklists, and documentation are executed accurately
- Oversee and provide technical leadership to field technicians
- Coordinate closely with on‑site commissioning counterparts and engineers
- Track and ensure completion of all required commissioning forms
- Support multiple large projects across compression and natural gas facilities in the Lower Peninsula
- Occasional overnight/back‑shift coverage during peak commissioning periods (up to ~60 days)
🧠What We’re Looking For
- 7–10+ years of commissioning or startup experience
- Strong, well‑rounded background in electrical, controls, and mechanical systems
- Hands‑on experience supporting field testing and instrumentation
- Ability to lead technicians in active construction/startup environments
- Experience in energy, utilities, or gas compression strongly preferred
- Comfortable working primarily in the field across multiple sites
- Fall commissioning period may require 6 days / 12‑hour shifts (~60‑day duration)
- Candidates must be based in or willing to work from Western Michigan service centers
