Job Description

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Irving, TX

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop training data metadata models, catalogs, transformer models, and packages using Transformer and Framework Manager.
• Create high-level and low-level designs, test cases, and code for project modules.
• Create and enhance reports using Business Intelligence tools like Power Play, Analysis Studio, and Report Studio.
• Deploy Cognos content from development to production environments.
• Develop multi-dimensional cubes for Power Play analysis.
• Optimize query performance and tuning.
• Provide Tier 3 support to report developers with less experience.
• Understand and address customer and user requirements, strategies, and goals.

Skills Required:

• Senior Cognos 10.2.2 Developer with expertise in Workspace, Framework Manager, Transformer, Business Intelligence, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, and Query Studio.
• Data modeling expertise—relational and multi-dimensional.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Strong understanding of Oracle hardware architectures.
• Experience with Linux or UNIX.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Experience with Data Warehouse applications (a plus).
• Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft HRMS and/or LMS software (a plus).
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and statistical skills.
• Professional, courteous, and team-oriented demeanor.
• Proactive, flexible, strategic, and self-motivated.
• High integrity and sound judgment.
