SUMMARY

The Sr. CNC Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting CNC and Swiss Lathes including Star, Miyano, Sharp, Hass, and MOREY. They will also handle preventative and predictive maintenance of the facility, manage the maintenance team, drive system improvements, and contribute to repairs and assistance as needed. Participation in the company-wide lean conversion process is required, impacting safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The technician will serve as the emergency contact for off-shift and weekend maintenance issues. This role offers health insurance options and a 401(k) matching plan. It is based at our climate-controlled facility in West Chester, PA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Complete CNC planned maintenance, troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, software, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  2. Investigate equipment failures, diagnose issues, remediate, and recommend preventative measures.
  3. Perform installation, relocation, removal, salvage, and repairs of machines and equipment.
  4. Manage maintenance tasks or delegate as appropriate to team members.
  5. Oversee and improve the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program, train team members on PM processes.
  6. Maintain physical structures, generators, HVAC, and other systems, including repairs and planning.
  7. Order equipment and delegate tasks for procurement as needed.
  8. Manage maintenance records and paperwork, including company transportation vehicle maintenance.
  9. Research, design, evaluate, install, and document maintenance of operational equipment.
  10. Coordinate with outside service personnel when on site.
  11. Create purchase orders in Oracle for maintenance-related needs.
  12. Serve as the point of contact and on-site expert for hazardous materials.
  13. Promote safety and quality, exemplify discipline to the 5S program.
  14. Possess strong mechanical skills and ability to read pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical schematics.
  15. Utilize computer and database skills effectively.
  16. Lead and manage maintenance team, solve problems, and think critically to improve systems.
  17. Understand lean principles and systems.
  18. Apply engineering and technological knowledge to equipment selection, design, and repair.
  19. Maintain a drive for continuous learning and improvement.
  20. Work flexibly, including overtime when necessary.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or Associates Degree with 2+ years' experience, or 4+ years relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of maintenance experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of CNC machining repair and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with machinery, plumbing, and electrical work required.
