Qualifications:

• 10+ years of large scale DBA experience with MySQL or a derivative, including performance tuning, debugging, metrics measurement, security, resilient design and disaster recovery.
• Experience with Master‑Master and channel based replication including filter definitions and namespace conflict resolution.
• Expert‑level knowledge of DML optimization/benchmarking for OLAP and OLTP, tuning and debugging including the ability to read and explain the output of "show engine innodb status;" and working knowledge of admin tools such as monyog.
• The ability to create and manage cloud resources using terraform, chef, consul, python and json.
• Experience implementing and enforcing controls in compliant environments such as ISO27000, HIPAA SOX, and SOC II.
• Strong analytical skills, mental resiliency and the ability to think systematically under stress.
• Highly accountable and willing to take ownership. Outstanding work ethic, high‑integrity, team player, and a lifelong learner.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively across the organisation.
• Comfortable working in an agile DevOps oriented capacity, alongside development partners.
• Experience in Document based DB admin such as DynamoDB or MongoDB.
