Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, operate, automate, and improve our Azure platform. You will own landing zones, governance controls, and automation, partnering with regional teams to standardize operations worldwide.

You will lead IaC development, CI/CD pipelines, and security-first cloud services, while delivering self-service capabilities for application teams and ensuring high availability across regional deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Azure cloud engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Landing Zones, networking, security, governance, and cloud operations.
• Strong expertise with Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, Azure CLI, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience supporting highly available, globally distributed cloud platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, automation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and maintain Azure landing zone infrastructure (networking, firewalls, shared compute, backup, patching).
• Manage shared services including identity, connectivity, monitoring, logging, security, and automation platforms.
• Own Azure subscription provisioning, lifecycle management, and enforcement of enterprise baseline configurations and governance controls.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation solutions to enable scalable cloud operations.
• Provide cloud onboarding, DevOps enablement, and self-service capabilities for application and regional teams.
• Serve as the Level-3 technical escalation point for Azure platform, infrastructure, and landing-zone issues.
• Lead troubleshooting, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional cloud teams to ensure consistent implementation of standards, governance, security controls, and operational processes worldwide.
