Description:

As a Senior Cloud Development Engineer you will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of our serverless architecture hosted on AWS (Amazon Web Services). You will be at the forefront of transitioning manual and automated Billing processes to a newly designed and fully automated Enterprise Billing Platform and contributing to the evolution of how the Organization handles every aspect of Billing. Your expertise in AWS, Python, CDK, and CloudFormation will be instrumental in achieving that goal.

Essential Job Results:

• Development: Develop and maintain components of the Enterprise Billing Platform using VSCode, CDK, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
• Data Structure Development: Develop structure for databases and data stores in AWS, primarily Aurora Postgres Serverless v2 on RDS (Relational Database Services), AWS Redshift, DynamoDB, and S3, ensuring performant and secure reads and writes.
• Python Development: Contribute significantly to code development and implementation of solutions using Python, Step Functions, and Lambda using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Architects and members of cross-functional teams to understand business, technical, and security requirements to develop and implement solutions that align with business needs.

Skills/Requirements:

• AWS Expertise: Proficiency in AWS services (AWS CDK, Lambda, RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB, S3) and strong problem-solving abilities in the AWS domain.
• Serverless Architecture: Proficiency in developing serverless architecture and AWS Development best-practices.
• Programming Languages: Python, SQL, Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, and markdown.
• Tools: Proficiency with GIT, BitBucket, AWS EventBridge, AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, Splunk, DataDog, Docker, AWS Secrets Manager, Hashicorp Vault, QuickSight, pgAdmin, SQL Developer, TOAD, JIRA, draw.io.
• DevOps & Agile Knowledge: Familiarity with DevOps practices, Agile methodologies, and their application in development workflows.
• CI/CD Implementation: Experience with CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild) ensuring streamlined deployment processes.
• Testing: Ability to write comprehensive tests (using pytest or similar).
• Database: Expertise in developing data structures for performant and secure reads and writes to databases/data stores (Postgres, Oracle, Redshift, DynamoDB, S3).
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills as this role will be required to understand and articulate technical and business workflows while working in collaboration with technical team members, leadership, and the business.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate) required. AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer will be a heavily weighted plus.
• Experience: Proficiency in Scrum, Agile, and ITSM required. Experience with Amazon Q will be a heavily weighted plus.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range: $67/hr on W2. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
