About the Role

You will lead the P&L and overall business relationship for all clients under scope and drive commercial opportunities across traditional reinsurance, financial reinsurance, inforce management and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic dialogue with key decision makers and influencers (e.g. reinsurance managers, risk managers, chief underwriting officers, senior underwriters, chief actuaries/pricing actuaries, CFOs, treasurers, strategy & development/M&A leaders, product heads, innovation officers).
  • Understand client strategy, needs, and priorities as well as risk, capital and drivers; Align client's needs with Swiss Re's capabilities
  • Develop, lead and implement effective strategy plans; Serve as lead on special projects as needed
  • Travel for face-to-face client visits and industry meetings
  • Actively support of Swiss Re's industry thought leadership and marketing initiatives

About You

  • 7+ years' experience working in or with complex life insurance/reinsurance businesses
  • Understanding of life insurance market/trends, including sales, underwriting, product development, distribution, claims, regulation, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of insurance corporate finance drivers
  • Consistent track record of building productive and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience leading special initiatives /projects in the reinsurance environment
  • An engaging personality, a team leader & player, a networker who enjoys working in a multi-cultural team environment
  • A strong communicator and able to present complex information both to technical and non-technical audiences confidently, simply and concisely; an effective and diplomatic negotiator
  • A university degree or equivalent education/experience; Actuarial credentials helpful but not required
  • Desire to learn from more experienced team members and grow as to take on larger or complex clients in the future
  • You are results-driven and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. You think out of the box, roll your sleeves up and are not afraid to take charge of a situation.
  • You demonstrate strategic vision, have strong business acumen and a commercial mindset. You can quickly pivot & navigate ambiguity with ease
  • You enjoy challenges and solving client problems
  • You foster a culture of receiving and giving feedback

The estimated base salary range for this position is $150,00 to $269,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office three days per week; however, this role can alsobe done remotely within US.

This role is not eligible for either relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.
