Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Civil CAD Technician in Dallas, TX. The role focuses on producing construction plans for paving, grading, drainage, water, and sanitary sewer, with emphasis on AutoCAD drafting and site development.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ year of civil design experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and familiarity with Civil 3D. TEIT/EIT and FE exam status are pluses; strong organizational and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of civil engineering design and AutoCAD drafting experience.
• Produces construction plans and related documents for paving, grading, drainage, water, sanitary sewer, and erosion control.
• Grading and drainage design experience is a plus.
• Assist PMs, engineers and designers with AutoCAD drafting, project coordination and design.
• AutoCAD proficiency is important; AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus.
• Must be organized with strong written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
• Experience with site development paving, grading, drainage and utilities is essential.
• Ideal candidates have multi‑project experience including office, retail, commercial, residential, industrial.
• Municipal infrastructure design experience is a plus but not required.
• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude; able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produce construction plans and documents for paving, grading, drainage, water, and sewer systems.
• Assist project managers and designers with AutoCAD drafting and coordination.
• Ensure deadlines are met and work quality is maintained.

Additional consideration will be given to applicants who have already passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and are registered as an E.I.T. with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and can take the PE exam within 6 months.

• applicants will have one or more years of relevant civil engineering design and AutoCAD drafting experience.
• The Engineer PM will be responsible for producing construction plans and other documents for paving, grading, drainage, water, sanitary sewer, and erosion control.
• Grading and drainage design experience is a plus.
• The graduate engineer will be responsible for assisting project managers, project engineers, and designers with AutoCAD drafting, project coordination, engineering design, and meeting deadlines.
• AutoCAD proficiency is important and AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is .
• The graduate engineer must be highly organized and must possess strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
• As a basic skill set, applicants must have engineering design experience/proficiency in site development projects including design of paving, grading, drainage, water, sanitary sewer, and erosion control.
• Ideal applicants will have experience with multiple project types which may include office, retail, general commercial, residential (single and/or multi-family), industrial, nursing/assisted living, etc. Experience with single family residential and commercial projects is .
