Job summary

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. We are looking for a senior sourcing professional to design strategic plans, negotiate complex agreements with global suppliers, and lead cross-functional teams to reduce cost and ensure supply continuity.

Candidates should have 6+ years in sourcing, data analysis, and program management, plus a strong analytics background. The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering, legal, and procurement teams, with travel as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing.
  • 6+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of related industry experience.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company.
  • Experience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Use industry and relevant data analysis, create and execute strategic sourcing plans for a technology, business unit, department, or project to help internal customers meet their goals
  • Work with a range of stakeholders including business leaders, engineering leaders, legal, program management, and supply chain to negotiate a variety of agreements and contracts including term sheets, MOUs, NDAs, SOWs, development agreements, component purchase agreements and others
  • Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify opportunities to reduce cost, minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and industry developments that benefit Amazon's customers
  • Influence suppliers' processes, technology decisions, and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations
  • Prioritize projects and activities to deliver maximum cost reductions and reliable on-time delivery
  • Manage cross-functional projects against plans and objectives to meet commitments and goals
  • Drive financial modeling of large and complex deals
  • Evaluate and monitor financial health of critical suppliers
  • Effectively lead cross-functional meetings with clear document writing, agenda creation, note capture and follow-up activity coordination
  • Domestic and International Travel as needed
