Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking an experienced data/support professional to join our end-user tech support and application health monitoring team. You will analyze issues, run SQL queries, map data, and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to resolve incidents with SLAs.

Responsibilities include testing, documenting resolutions, performing root cause analysis, and supporting deployments while upholding security and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience developing detailed SQL queries, procedures and data modeling.
• 4+ years of experience within the healthcare data environment - eligibility, claims, etc.
• 2+ years of experience with data mapping and workflow documentation.
• 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining quality data routines to verify the imports/extracts.
• 2+ years of experience working with Medicare Advantage and Medicaid Care Delivery models.
• Experience within an application support desk.
• Experience with database query tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences at all levels.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities

• Capture, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve user-reported issues and service impacts using approved tools, knowledge bases, and support procedures
• Monitor application performance, processing quality, system health, logs, notifications, and alerts to proactively identify and address issues
• Follow documented support processes, operational procedures, and service guidelines to ensure timely research, resolution, and communication within established service level agreements (SLAs)
• Assist with testing, validation, and user acceptance activities for assigned applications, solutions, enhancements, and releases
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve service stability
• Document incidents, resolutions, workarounds, and process updates to maintain an accurate and current knowledge repository
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to investigate and resolve complex technical and operational issues
• Escalate incidents and service disruptions appropriately based on severity, business impact, and defined support procedures
• Support application deployment, maintenance, and release activities while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiencies to enhance service delivery and user experience
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, security standards, data protection requirements, and audit controls
• Provide timely status updates and clear communication to stakeholders regarding issue resolution progress, risks, and service impacts
• Participate in on-call support, incident response, and problem management activities as required
• Track, analyze, and report on support metrics, trends, and recurring issues to drive continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience developing detailed SQL queries, procedures and data modeling

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
