Job summary

Akkodis is recruiting a Sr CAE Crashworthiness Engineer for an automotive manufacturer in the Raymond, OH area. This onsite contract role focuses on large full vehicle crash models, BIW optimization, and automation of CAE workflows using LS-DYNA, ANSA, and modeFRONTIER.

The candidate will load, understand, parameterize, and run crash models, develop 1D/3D CAE automation (AI/ML), and ensure compliance with safety standards (FMVSS, ECE, NCAP).

Qualifications

• Full vehicle crash simulation experience (mandatory).
• LS-DYNA experience, including running full vehicle crash models
• Strong ANSA experience for loading models, parameterization, workflow setup, and optimization
• Bachelor's degree with an engineering focus.
• Minimum of 8+ years of industry experience in using and developing CAE methods. Require experience with CAE analysis for vehicle
• Body-in-white related to the Crash full vehicle system/subsystem. Proficiency with full vehicle crashworthiness simulations in LS-DYNA and ANSA; familiarity with FMVSS, ECE, NCAP required.
• This role will create and validate automation of CAE workflows and processes related to 1D/3D CAE models, including AI/ML approaches; familiarity with modeFRONTIER or iSight is a significant advantage; experience with Nastran, Abaqus, Hypermesh and Matlab/Python/VBA desired.

• Akkodis is recruiting for a Sr CAE Crashworthiness Engineer for an automotive manufacturer in the Raymond, OH area. This is an onsite contract position with a pay rate of $40 hour to $55 an hour depending on education, experience and location.


• Work with large full vehicle crash models.


• Load, understand, parameterize, and run crash models.


• Set up optimization workflows in modeFRONTIER.


• Support body-in-white (BIW) optimization, adjusting approximately 30-40 parameters and running optimization studies.


• Full vehicle crash simulation experience (mandatory)

• This role will be responsible for creating and validating automation of CAE workflows and processes related to the 1D/3D CAE models, which includes AI/ML approaches. Familiarity with modeFRONTIER or iSight is a significant advantage. Experience with other CAE software such as Nastran, Abaqus, Hypermesh and proficiency with programming language software such as Matlab, Python, and VBA are desired. A related advanced degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience.
