Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Sr. CAD Technician to develop and refine detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD and Plant 3D.

You will transform survey data into precise plans while collaborating with engineers and designers to deliver complete submittal packages on time. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of drafting experience, an AAS in Design and Drafting Technology or CAD certification, and strong knowledge of coordinate systems and X-Refs within AutoCAD.

Join our dedicated team as a Sr. CAD Technician, where you will create detailed construction plans using AutoCAD for the structural group. This role ensures drawings meet client specifications and design coordinator instructions.

Responsibilities:

Join our dynamic design team as a Sr. CAD Technician and bring ideas to life! In this role, you’ll create and refine detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Plant 3D, transforming data from surveys into accurate, high-quality plans. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and designers, prepare complete drawing packages for client submittals, and ensure every detail meets industry and client standards. Beyond technical excellence, you’ll contribute to innovative solutions and play a key role in delivering projects on time and within budget. • This position pays between $23 and $26 hourly and is a non-exempt position. Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident, and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full-time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for a discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
• Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) in Design and Drafting Technology, CAD
  Certification or equivalent prior work experience
• 2-4 years of experience in the design and drafting field with some Utilities industry knowledge
• Proficient in AutoCAD, including X-Refs and understanding coordinate systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience within the Oil and Gas Industry such as Gas Distribution Systems and/or Compressor Stations
• Basic knowledge of advanced CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D or Civil 3D.
• Organized to stay on task and complete projects within budget
• Detail oriented for producing a great quality package
• Self-motivated for striving to build upon previous successes
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering accurate, high-quality drawings and collaborating effectively with the team
