The Senior CAD Designer is responsible for AutoCAD drafting of land development plan sets for retail, commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

Responsibilities

1. Plan and prepare preliminary layouts and detailed design drawings from engineering notes, sketches, and other drawings, ensuring compliance with standards and codes.
2. Draft Land Development Plans, Zoning Plans, Concept Plans, and Construction Documents.
3. Create Site Plan Renderings for Municipal Presentations.
4. Coordinate with Engineers, Designers, and Drafters to maintain design consistency.
5. Ensure project drawings are complete and accurate within scope, budget, and schedule.
6. Organize and maintain revisions of project drawings and related files.
7. Utilize applications like AutoTURN and AGI32 to generate drawings based on project needs.
8. Prepare grading designs with knowledge of site topography.
9. Perform earthwork analysis including cut/fill takeoffs.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or certificate from an accredited design/drafting program.
• 5-8 years of AutoCAD experience in site development.
• Land Development Design experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D is a plus.
• High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Strong CAD skills related to land development issues.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to take on increased responsibilities.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
