Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or related field.
• 5+ years of direct material purchasing experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Experience managing purchase orders, pricing, and purchasing activities within ERP systems.
• Ability to coordinate engineering changes and work across multiple manufacturing locations.

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to support direct material purchasing, supplier management, and key automotive programs within a global Tier 1 manufacturing environment.

This role combines hands‑on purchasing execution with strategic sourcing support, working closely with plant operations, engineering, commodity management, and corporate purchasing teams.

Work Schedule: Onsite Monday through Thursday, remote Fridays. Based in the Auburn Hills/Pontiac area with travel to Caro, MI, approximately 1–2 times per week.
