Senior Business Systems Analyst – Encompass (Remote | Contract-to-Hire)

Optomi in partnership with a leading financial services team is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst with deep Encompass LOS experience to support strategic loan origination and servicing initiatives. This role is highly interactive and cross-functional, bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams within a large-scale enterprise environment. The ideal candidate has experience in both technical documentation and stakeholder communication within a financial institution.

Experience of the Right Candidate:

• 5–7+ years of Business Analyst experience within financial services or banking environments.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Encompass LOS (must be more than just an end user).
• Proven success working in large financial institutions, supporting enterprise-scale tech initiatives.
• Deep understanding of mortgage operations, including loan origination and servicing workflows.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum environments and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills – confident leading requirement sessions and working with both IT and business stakeholders.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to translate complex business needs into actionable solutions.

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:

• Serve as the primary liaison between technical and business teams to support the Encompass LOS platform.
• Lead requirement gathering efforts and produce clear, comprehensive documentation (BRDs, FRDs, user stories, etc.).
• Collaborate with developers, QA, product owners, and business users to define scope and drive delivery.
• Facilitate sprint planning, UAT, and solution validation throughout the SDLC.
• Provide subject matter expertise on Encompass workflows, configuration, and enhancement opportunities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for loan origination and servicing processes across the enterprise.
