Senior Business Informatics Data Visualization Analyst

Please Note: Work location for this role is FLEXIBLE! This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule.

Position Summary

Visualize and analyze data in a comprehensive manner to help track outcomes of strategies and tactics toward business goals. Create reusable process solutions and provide impactful tools to guide and assist business partners in developing, executing and tracking optimal corporate strategies. Design sound business solutions that will drive growth and increased profitability through the use of information sharing to help clients realize the value and outcomes of doing business with Voya. Design, develop and maintain standard, custom, and ad hoc reporting solutions and dashboards utilizing a wide range of technical applications. The responsibilities of this role are varied, creating a challenging, dynamic and rewarding work experience.

Position Description

  • Proactively building relationships with key business stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Ability to formulate and define scope (people, process & technology) and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of current state business process & systems and industry requirements; considers business application of both process & technology to both current and future business environment
  • Develops (or modifies) as well as leads others through the processes to resolve complex business issues using data and includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of business requirements, and translation of business requirements into functional requirements
  • Guide partners and create measurement strategies to optimize and enhance outcomes of reporting efforts.
  • Develop understanding of data, its usage and quality requirements to be able to analyze, interpret, and maximize benefits from it usage.
  • Extracts, transforms and maps data to ensure information and reports to effectively visualize and analyze trends and business needs.
  • Develop reporting solutions that are easy to access and interpret. This will require understanding and usage of multiple data sources
  • Coordinates, analyzes and implements complex reporting requests for the organization by utilizing available reporting tool(s).
  • Documents reporting processes, code and source data; develops appropriate programs and systems documentation. Prepares/implements data verification and testing for the data and reports prepared.
  • Positively influence change by adopting Data Governance principles and acting as a conduit to connect business partner with the information.

Knowledge & Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of the data and structure of reporting tools, specifically PowerBI, techniques to query the data, and knowledge of basic desktop software to combine data from multiple areas.
  • Navigate through large data sets and summarize findings into management level communication.
  • Create complex database reporting across a variety of data sources.
  • Ability to present fact-based observations and recommendations across various levels of management.
  • Attention to detail, planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Team player who is able to collaborate with multiple functions.

Compensation Pay Disclosure

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$105,700 - $132,120 USD
