In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Position IDT as a primary or preferred provider for all genomics workflows
• Develop thought leadership network and strengthen IDT’s market leadership position.
• Become the expert on adjacent and core Synthetic Biology and Gene Editing markets through primary, proprietary market work.
• Track and trend competitive market share for overall Synthetic Biology and Gene Editing markets and products; develop 3 to 5-year strategic commercial growth plan for AMR business under the guidance of Sr Director, Commercial Business Development. Identify, cultivate, evolve and support closing new business with field sellers.
• Establish relationships and develop stakeholder strategies and plans, focusing on decision-makers and C-Suite level, to maximize IDT’s value proposition.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

• Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science or related discipline, with a preference for an advanced degree (MBA or PhD).
• Seven or more years of professional sales/business development experience, including three or more years in a role for custom oligos solutions and Synthetic Biology and Gene Editing applications.
• Extensive relationship-building experience to cultivate strategic collaborations within research, academia, and corporate environments.
• Deep technical knowledge of gene synthesis, qPCR, CRISPR, and/or NGS.
• Proven track record of top performance in business development management, with clear examples of driving market expansion.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to travel up to 50%, with a valid driver’s license.
• Strong financial acumen is essential for success in this role.

The salary range for this role is $160,000 to $180,000, with potential for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement benefits. Compensation may vary based on experience and company discretion.
