Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Redmond, WA is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to safeguard the Starlink platform and investigate potential misuse while protecting user privacy.

You will develop detection and mitigation strategies, investigate scams and illicit activities, and partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen platform integrity with a balanced, lawful approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations; or 6+ years in lieu of a degree.
• 4+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), geospatial tools (e.g., ArcGIS), and/or statistical software (e.g., R).
• 4+ years of experience investigating, mitigating, or dealing with illicit operators (e.g., fraud, abuse, cybersecurity, or other illicit activities).

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and assess platform integrity and abuse risks.
• Develop technical detection and mitigation strategies.

SR. BUSINESS ANALYST (STARLINK PLATFORM INTEGRITY)

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Business Analyst, known internally as Sr. Customer Integrity & Threat Detection Analyst to detect, disrupt, and investigate potential misuse of the service—including proactively combating and deterring illicit operators. This person must strike the careful balance of safeguarding customer information and privacy while applying enforcement measures and executing with an even-handed approach, avoiding overreach and disproportionate collateral impacts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degreeand4+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations;OR 6+ yearsof professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations in lieu of a degree
• 4+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python),geospatial tools (e.g., ArcGIS),and/or statistical software (e.g., R)
• 4+ years of experience investigating, mitigating, or dealing with illicit operators (e.g., fraud, abuse,cybersecurity,orotherillicit activities)

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Strong analytical research and communication skills, including excellent written and oral communication skills
• International professionalexposure(e.g., working abroad or on global initiatives/businesses)
• Experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or vulnerability assessment in high-stakes environments
• Experience with research and intelligence analytic techniques, including open-source intelligence (OSINT) data techniques
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment in a fast-paced, high-tech environment
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
• Familiarity with U.S. and international economic sanctions and export control laws and regulations

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to travel as needed for business (15%)
• This position is based in Redmond, WA and requires being onsite—remote work not considered
• Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range:Level 3: $120,000.00 - $175,000.00

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at the company. Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the the company Redmond office Monday to Friday.
