Job description

Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst – Insurance domain (P&C or Life)

Job Description:

This person will work with Insurance clients to gather data and analytics requirements, and then help design and develop solutions to provide business insights and manage business performance. The person will be responsible for the gathering of requirements from customers, analysis of those requirements, and assisting in the implementation of our in-house insurance data platform. The person must have insurance product and process knowledge and experience.

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Lead requirements gathering and data mapping by analyzing, soliciting, and formalizing requirements.
  2. Create business requirements documents from which solutions will be designed.
  3. Help design new solutions by analyzing and interpreting clients' requirements.
  4. Support for data mapping between source and target systems.
  5. Responsible for developing and maintaining KPIs, reports, & dashboard designs.
  6. Responsible for providing guidance concerning the business implications of the application of various systems.
  7. Will have quality assurance responsibilities to ensure the solution meets business requirements.
  8. Lead/facilitate client meetings.
  9. Identify and help resolve complex issues and problems and engage higher-level staff on risks and issues.
  10. Act as a subject matter expert on insurance products and processes to other team members.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience/Attributes:

  1. Must have 2-3 years of Life or P&C Insurance experience.
  2. Must have 3-5 years of data, reporting and analytics requirements gathering experience, with a heavy emphasis on data integration, reporting and analytics.
  3. Strong experience/exposure to one or more of Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon, Google, data reporting and management tools a plus.
  4. 3 years of data profiling and data cleansing experience a plus.
  5. Possess a comprehensive knowledge of insurance products and processes.
  6. Demonstrated ability to liaise closely with business and IT leadership to establish, defend, and persuade implementing recommended solutions.
  7. Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
  8. Must work independently with minimal direction and the ability to deal with a dynamic environment.
  9. Experience leading others through the full development life cycle.

Annual Salary: MARKET based
