Job Description The Role

The Propulsion Business Analyst will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders by transforming complex data into actionable insights, interactive visualizations, and intelligent automation solutions. This role combines expertise in business analytics, dashboard development, AI agent creation, and data visualization across Microsoft and Google platforms to drive operational efficiency, decision-making, and business performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience designing enterprise reporting solutions, and the ability to leverage artificial intelligence technologies to automate workflows and improve business processes.

What You’ll Do

Business Analytics & Insights

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
• Develop data models and analytical frameworks to support business strategy and operational excellence.
• Translate business challenges into actionable data-driven recommendations.
• Define, track, and monitor key business performance indicators.
• Utilize advanced analytics techniques to identify optimization opportunities and business risks.

Dashboard Development & Data Visualization

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using: Microsoft Power BI, Google Looker Studio, Google Analytics, Tableau
• Create executive-level visualizations that simplify complex business information.
• Develop scalable reporting solutions that automate data refreshes and improve data accessibility.
• Ensure reporting governance, metric consistency, and data quality standards.

AI Agent Development & Automation

• Design, build, and deploy AI agents using platforms such as: Microsoft Copilot Studio, Google Vertex AI, Google Gemini, Azure AI Services, Google Agent Builder Power Platform
• Develop AI-powered assistants that enhance employee productivity and decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to automate business processes using AI and workflow automation tools.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise data sources and business applications.

Data Management & Engineering Support

• Extract, transform, and analyze data from ERP, CRM, manufacturing, supply chain, and financial systems.
• Utilize tools such as: SQL, Python, Power Query, Google BigQuery, Microsoft Fabric.
• Partner with IT and data engineering teams to establish scalable data pipelines and architectures.
• Support data governance, master data management, and data quality initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable analytics and automation solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership and operational stakeholders.
• Train users on dashboards, AI tools, and self-service analytics capabilities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for data-driven decision-making and digital transformation initiatives.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analytics, business intelligence, data visualization, or digital transformation.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more visualization platforms: Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience developing AI agents, copilots, chatbots, or workflow automations.
• Strong SQL and data modeling capabilities.
• Experience with Google BigQuery or enterprise data warehouses.
• Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience with: Google Vertex AI, Gemini, AI Agent Builder, Looker, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate, Azure AI Services, Python, R, or machine learning experience.
• Knowledge of predictive analytics and generative AI technologies.
• Experience in automotive, manufacturing, supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or operations environments.
• Professional certifications in: Google Cloud Professional Data Analytics, Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer, Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft AI Engineer Associate.
