Position Summary:

Senior Business Analyst serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization. The roles activities contribute to the development of integrated solutions to seize business opportunities or fulfill end user needs. Possess expertise in the business functions, units, and processes they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organizations systems and capabilities. Translates high-level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages change to such specifications. Typically lead teams in fulfilling objective.

1. Responsible for Gathering, Analyzing data and articulating tactical and strategic requirements for custom solutions or system configuration, reports, extensions, interfaces and data conversions in an ERP environment. Either perform the function individually or lead small teams in assisting with the following:

• Prepare and Conduct requirements analysis, including interviews and JAD sessions.
• Perform Gap analysis.
• Produce report specifications and other documentation as required for project analysis, planning and design.
• Translate functional requirements into formal requirements specifications.
• Analyze user requests for new systems as well as enhancements to existing systems.
• Document business requirements.

2. Either perform the function individually or lead small teams in assisting with the following:

• Responsible for developing Functional Design documentation including business process flows, process maps, system diagrams, logical data models, and systems diagrams.
• Responsible for system configuration for ERP systems and other less sophisticated systems.
• Coordinate high – level system walk through with system users.
• Coordinate system implementation.
• Log issues and provide solutions.

3. Either perform the function individually or lead small teams in assisting with the following:

• Serve as a liaison between technical staff and users during software development and testing activities.
• Coordinate testing activities and conduct Conference Room Pilots for system testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
• Create training and procedures documents.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

• Previously engaged in several ERP implementations leading or participating in a business analyst role.
• Previous experience working with large organizations with multiple sites, divisions, and number of users.
• Previous experience leading teams of 1-15.
• Typically possessing 7+ years in IT related role with a minimum of 4 solid years of acting in a business analyst role.
• Preferred: Involved with end-to-end ERP implementation (from start to finish). Previously used a project management methodology PMI, ASAP, etc).
