The Ohio State University Athletics Department is seeking a Sr. Building Maintenance Technician to plan, schedule and supervise maintenance across multiple athletic facilities, including Ohio Stadium.
You will oversee staff and contract workers and perform HVAC, plumbing and electrical repairs while managing supplies and coordinating with facilities. The role requires night and weekend work and 24-hour on-call availability.

Department: Athletics | Plant Maintenance
Plans, schedules and supervises maintenance work for the Department of Athletics at multiple athletic facilities. Supervises, full-time staff, student staff and contract workers. Performs work for installation, repair, and maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, and electric equipment. Maintains and orders supplies and equipment. Prepare job estimates. Assists with set up and event needs for athletic events. Accompany engineers on new projects to review work and/or supply additional information. Maintains air handlers, VAV boxes, heat exchangers, fan coils, pumps, motors, and frequency drives in athletic facilities with the ability to diagnose and repair issues. Schedules and oversees maintenance / repair and renovation services between Athletics, Physical Facilities, and contractors. Supervises and helps to directs HVAC, plumbing, and other projects in athletic facilities. Hires, trains, schedules and supervises regular and student staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Must be able to work nights and weekends and be available for 24-hour call.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required.
5-10 years of relevant experience. Extensive knowledge of trades including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.

The target hiring range for this job profile is $ 28.22 - $37.12. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
