FSCA is currently hiring a Sr. Body Shop Painter to join our Shop Maintenance Team to support the future growth of the Company. If you are looking for a new place to call home, we would love to talk to you!
Duties:
  • Examine damaged vehicles and paint vehicle body components on various commercial trucks, buses, and trailers.
  • Produce sprayed paint finishes with little or no dirt and a consistent gloss and texture matching the OEM finish without the need to sand and buff.
  • Mix paint and spray using XALTA SYSTEM PAINTS.
  • Perform spot-in repairs.
  • Clean and inspect parts prior to painting.
  • Follow all procedures for a quality, lasting paint finish.
  • Be able to mix and spray all products used.
  • Maintain spray equipment to meet operational standards, but not including repair of equipment.
  • Follow hazardous waste disposal program and fire prevention procedures.
  • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces.
  • Prep truck / vehicle bodies and components for painting.
  • Fill depressions with body filler, patch holes and work with Fiberglass.
  • Support ad-hoc projects related to the DFS priorities and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 3 years’ experience; or 7 years’ experience in a related field.
  • 1+ years of related vehicle body painting and / or collision repair experience and/or associate formal training.
  • Must provide own hand tools that are adequate to perform job functions.
  • Strong experience with XALTA System Paints preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, multi-task and apply initiative.
  • Positive attitude, Safety conscious, good instincts, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
  • Able to read and interpret shop orders to determine the color required.
  • Able to determine the proper surface condition for acceptance of paint and prepare if required.
  • Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.
