Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Sr Blending Optimization Engineer (Finance) in Houston with a hybrid work arrangement. You will develop and implement advanced blending solutions, collaborating with product development, sales, and manufacturing to deliver high-impact results.

You will report to the Blending and Movement Engineering Manager and travel up to 30% to customer sites. Strong engineering and programming skills, plus excellent communication, are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Process Control or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Refinery Operations, Advanced Process Control and/or Process Optimization.
  • Blending or Off-Site tank farm process experience.
  • Experience with Honeywell's DCS (Experion and/or Total Plan System)
  • Programming experience.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in contributing to internal and external technical documents.
  • Proactive approach to understanding customer needs and exceeding expectations.

Sr Blending Optimization Engineer (Finance)
Job Description

As a Sr Blending Optimization Engineer here at Honeywell, you will leverage your advanced engineering expertise to develop and implement innovative application solutions that meet complex customer requirements in the areas of process modelling and real-time optimization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence and deliver high-impact results that support business growth and customer satisfaction.

You will report directly to our Blending and Movement Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Houston, TX location on a Hybrid work schedule. This position does require up to 30% travel to customer sites.

In this role, you will impact the successful delivery of Honeywell and Blending applications, enhance product performance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and customer solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced blending application engineering solutions to meet customer needs and technical requirements.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Process Control or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Refinery Operations, Advanced Process Control and/or Process Optimization.
  • Blending or Off-Site tank farm process experience.
  • Strong expertise in developing and implementing complex engineering applications with a focus on process control and performance optimization for oil refineries.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard engineering software tools and simulation platforms relevant to application development
  • Experience with Honeywell's DCS (Experion and/or Total Plan System)
  • Programming experience.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in a timely and effective manner without compromising quality.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in contributing to internal and external technical documents.
  • Proactive approach to understanding customer needs and exceeding expectations, ensuring a consistently positive experience with every interaction
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices applicable to application engineering.
