Overview

We have an immediate need for a Remote SR Customer Service - Medical Billing Specialist in our Billing Department! If you are ready to make an impact every day and thrive in a fast-paced environment, then a career at Forefront may be the perfect fit for you.

Responsibilities

  1. Monitor and review phone dashboard daily.
  2. Assist with logging in and out of the overflow group as needed/scheduled.
  3. Perform monthly QA reviews on telephone calls and review findings with the team.
  4. Assist with escalated patient calls and account reviews.
  5. Monitor patient billing email and ensure patient inquiries are completed timely.
  6. Train new staff on phones and customer service; sign off on training.
  7. Assist the Team Lead with interviews and staff reviews as necessary.
  8. Serve as the point of contact for questions regarding customer service.
  9. Compile and prepare reports for the Team Lead as necessary.
  10. Provide feedback to the Team Lead for annual reviews.
  11. Assist with patient concerns as needed.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of customer service experience.
  • Experience in payment posting and billing duties.
  • Experience in training staff preferred.
  • 2 years of recent related medical office, billing & collections, or similar experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong computer knowledge and typing skills; experience with Excel preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work well individually and in a team.
  • Respond positively to constructive criticism and supervision.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Display a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor; be compassionate and caring.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.

Physical Demands

  • Communicate effectively in a multi-office environment.
  • Operate office equipment (telephone, computer, calculator, fax, copier).
  • Communicate via telephone.
  • Sit for large portions of a workday.
