What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Compile and analyze health and welfare plan data to identify trends impacting program costs
  • Conduct market research and analyze benefit data to ensure competitiveness
  • Manage data warehouse and claims databases, resolving data file issues as needed
  • Develop and maintain reports on key associate and plan metrics for management
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to benefit programs
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • College degree in a related field (Economics, Insurance, Business, Finance)
  • 5-7 years of experience in benefit analysis, planning, and design
  • Experience with HRIS systems and report writers; PeopleSoft preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and math skills to perform statistical analyses of benefit plans
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Advanced related degree or additional coursework in relevant fields
  • Experience with data warehouses and claims databases; MedInsight preferred
  • Knowledge of Canadian benefit laws is a plus
  • Familiarity with Human Resource concepts, including compensation plans
  • Experience in project management or business analysis
