What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Compile and analyze health and welfare plan data to identify trends impacting program costs
- Conduct market research and analyze benefit data to ensure competitiveness
- Manage data warehouse and claims databases, resolving data file issues as needed
- Develop and maintain reports on key associate and plan metrics for management
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to benefit programs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- College degree in a related field (Economics, Insurance, Business, Finance)
- 5-7 years of experience in benefit analysis, planning, and design
- Experience with HRIS systems and report writers; PeopleSoft preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and math skills to perform statistical analyses of benefit plans
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced related degree or additional coursework in relevant fields
- Experience with data warehouses and claims databases; MedInsight preferred
- Knowledge of Canadian benefit laws is a plus
- Familiarity with Human Resource concepts, including compensation plans
- Experience in project management or business analysis
