Overview

We are seeking a Senior Azure Engineer with strong expertise in cloud infrastructure automation, Kubernetes, and Azure services. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and operate scalable, secure, and resilient systems, with a primary focus on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and supporting infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Design, automate, and manage cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code (Terraform).
  • Operate and optimize container orchestration platforms, including lifecycle management, scaling, security, and workload operations.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure.
  • Manage networking, storage, DNS, and databases in a cloud environment.
  • Establish and enforce identity and access management (IAM) practices, ensuring least privilege access.
  • Automate routine operations with scripting and tooling.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure platform performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and security teams to build secure, scalable systems.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years in Cloud Engineering with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Primary expertise in Kubernetes (AKS): Deployments, upgrades, scaling, and networking.
  • Ingress, service mesh, and workload orchestration.
  • Security hardening, RBAC, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform Cloud and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
  • Proficiency with core Azure infrastructure services, including:
  • Networking: VNets, subnets, load balancers, private endpoints, routing, firewalls.
  • Identity & Access Management: Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, managed identities, service principals.
  • Compute: Virtual Machines, Scale Sets, App Services, Container Instances.
  • Storage: Blob, Files, Queues, lifecycle policies.
  • Databases: Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
  • DNS & Traffic Management: Azure DNS, Private DNS Zones, Traffic Manager, Front Door.
  • Security & Governance: Key Vault, Azure Policies, Defender for Cloud.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics.
  • Scripting and automation expertise (Azure CLI, Bash, PowerShell, Python).
  • Experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Strong containerization experience (Docker, cloud-native design patterns).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in distributed, multi-tiered cloud environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience with Cloudflare (WAF, CDN, DNS, Zero Trust).
  • Experience with F5 (LTM, GTM, load balancing, traffic management).
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls (network segmentation, security policies, Azure integration).
  • Service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and Kubernetes security frameworks (OPA, Kyverno, Aqua, Falco).
  • Multi-cloud or hybrid networking experience.
  • Relevant Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Entra ID Administrator Associate, HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, Kubernetes CKA/CKAD.
