Job Description

If you have AWS Cloud and AI experience, this is a great opportunity. We are looking for a Sr. IT Systems Engineer to partner with Architecture to build out operational support of AI.

The Sr. IT Systems Engineer is responsible for constructing creative and logical detailed designs based on architectural guidance. This position is responsible for being a deep subject matter expert and performing activities required for the support of secured IT infrastructure. It also involves managing work direction, leading, and influencing other engineers to achieve results.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with AI Architecture to build out operational support of AI.
  • Design, build, and support applications in AWS using services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and Containers.
  • Have significant experience with core AWS services (VPC, CloudWatch, compute, networking, storage).
  • Collaborate with IT and product teams to understand and develop project scope and design solutions.
  • Write and support Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
  • Identify, develop, and implement automation opportunities.
  • Develop and promote standards and their adoption.
  • Manage work direction, lead, influence, mentor, and provide feedback to team members.
  • Oversee execution of key strategic initiatives.
  • Create and conduct logical designs based on architectural reviews.
  • Serve as a collaborative pivot point between engineers and management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience; High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proven effective communication skills across multiple audiences.
  • Experience relevant to the team’s domain.
  • At least 5 years of experience with infrastructure technologies and Cloud AI Services.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
  • Excellent written, technical, and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership and mentorship abilities.
  • Ability to translate abstract concepts into deployment designs.
  • Strong problem-solving and business analysis skills.
  • Decisiveness and sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience deploying AWS or GCP AI services like Bedrock, Claude, Vertex AI, Gemini.
  • Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI).
  • Background in healthcare or PBM industries.
  • Knowledge of security implications.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification.
  • Interest in management roles.
Physical Demands
  • Up to 10% travel.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and shifts outside core hours.
  • Constant sitting, using hands, talking, hearing.
  • Frequent reaching with hands and arms.
  • Occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required.

Potential salary ranges from $94,000 to $160,000, based on experience and skills.
