As we modernize our identity strategy, we are leveraging Transmit Security to deliver a frictionless, passwordless user experience across our applications. We're looking for an expert in passkeys and modern authentication methods to lead this transformation. We are seeking an experienced security engineer with deep expertise in passwordless authentication and passkeys to drive the implementation of Transmit Security across our digital ecosystem. This role will work closely with engineering, IAM, and product teams to design and deploy secure, user-friendly authentication experiences that eliminate passwords and reduce account takeover risk.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the design, integration, and deployment of passwordless authentication using Transmit Security.

  • Implement support for passkeys (FIDO2/WebAuthn) across web and mobile platforms using Transmit’s APIs and SDKs.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to migrate users from traditional credentials to passkey-based, phishing-resistant authentication.

  • Optimize user journeys for sign-up, login, and account recovery using Transmit’s orchestration tools.

  • Integrate authentication flows with CIAM/IdP platforms and application stacks.

  • Monitor authentication telemetry to drive continuous improvement in security and usability.

  • Stay current on evolving standards (e.g., FIDO Alliance, WebAuthn, CTAP) and contribute to best practices within the organization.

  • Advocate for secure, passwordless design patterns across the enterprise.

What you will need to be successful

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in security engineering, IAM, or authentication development.
  • Hands-on experience implementing a solution such as Transmit Security passwordless authentication.
  • Deep understanding of passkeys, FIDO2, WebAuthn, and phishing-resistant authentication.
  • Familiarity with authentication protocols such as OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML.
  • Experience integrating authentication solutions with web and mobile applications.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with product and engineering teams.
  • Experience rolling out passkeys or passwordless authentication to large user bases.
  • Familiarity with customer identity and access management (CIAM) platforms.
  • Background in biometrics, mobile security, or identity orchestration.
  • Contributions to identity-related open-source projects or standards development.

Salary Range
$150,000.00 To $210,000.00 / year
