Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Sr. Associate in SW Engineering to design, build, and test software applications. You will define requirements for complex data-processing projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and perform testing and debugging.

You will also assist with administering the Power BI platform and onboarding new use cases and support. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 2 years of relevant experience, including Java, REST API, Spring Boot/Spring

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
  • 2 years of experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • 2 years of experience with analyzing functional and business requirements.
  • 2 years of experience with test plan preparation and unit testing.
  • 2 years of experience with troubleshooting and code migration deployment.
  • 2 years of experience with GIT flow, Java, Rest API development and Microservice architecture, Spring Boot and Spring Security, and TDD.
  • 2 years of experience with Front-end UI technologies (HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, React JS, Angular JS).
  • 2 years of experience with designing and building cloud native applications and microservices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and test software applications and solutions.
  • Define technical system requirements for complex data processing projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional users to analyze business needs and develop prototypes.
  • Test and maintain programs, including coding and debugging.
