Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Associate, Finance to support estimating and pricing for the ForceX Division in Nashville. You will compile inputs, verify cost principles, and deploy pricing strategies for US Government and commercial bids.

Qualifications

• Experience with Price and Cost Modeling.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management with 2+ years of related experience or a Graduate Degree with 1 year experience; or 6 years related experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience in strategic pricing, FP&A, general accounting, revenue & cost forecasts, and budget management.
• Experience in contract pricing, program management, contract administration and international procurement/payment terms.
• Strong presentation skills to communicate financial issues to senior management.
• Advanced Excel skills and FAR experience; familiarity with pricing tools like ProPricer.

Job Description

This position will be responsible for all estimating and bidding (pricing) duties for the ForceX Division based in Nashville, Tn. This includes compilation of all data inputs, verification of underlying cost principles applied to each bid, deploying strategic pricing recommendations, supporting development of compliant bids to the U.S. Government and Commercial customers, and maintenance of a compliant pricing system within the business unit.

Essential Functions

• Act as a contributor on a cross functional team consisting of Business Development, Sales, Program Management, Engineering, and Contract Management in support of proposal creation for all business pursuits.
• Support the financial analysis and review of proposal costs, risks, and opportunities during cost & price reviews.
• Understand, communicate, and recommend cost and price strategies that will achieve the divisions growth targets.
• Work with proposal team to propose/negotiate preferred L3Harris customer payment terms.
• Assist in the team’s development of a business case, when necessary, to ensure a successful Price Review.
• When appropriate, perform various analyses and/or financial models to aid Senior Mgmt. understanding of how a proposal meets Division goals, and/or assist in successful negotiations.
• Prepare and analyze the financial structure of proposals, agreements, product plans or business plans including any required investments.
• Apply understanding of Revenue Recognition and P&L Forecasting.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with Price and Cost Modeling.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree in the above with a minimum of 1 year of prior related experience. In lieu, lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
• Experience with Price and Cost modeling
• Experience in the following areas: Strategic pricing, financial planning and analysis, general accounting, revenue & cost forecasts, and budget management.
• Experience in the following areas: Contract pricing, program/project management, contract administration and international procurement/payment terms.
• Demonstrated experience with financial presentations to senior management.
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to concisely translate to management the key financial issues/impact.
• Self-starter with strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to implement new initiatives, build consensus, and use personal leadership to enable change.
• Ideal candidate would be adaptable and quick to learn and possess the ability to work in a team environment.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation(FAR).
• Experience with ProPricer or other similar pricing tools.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $67,000-124,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
