Senior Associate, eCommerce Merchandising
Location: Remote (HQ: Hoboken, NJ) | Hours aligned to EMEA markets
The eCommerce Merchandising team is a critical part of Newell Brands, focused on driving digital shelf readiness and delivering best-in-class consumer experiences across our global retail partners. We are seeking a Senior Associate of eCommerce Merchandising to support new item setup, international market onboarding, and day-to-day digital merchandising execution with a primary focus on EMEA markets across Newell’s portfolio of brands. This is a fully remote role, with working hours aligned to support EMEA market needs.
This role combines new item setup and project coordination responsibilities with hands-on digital merchandising ownership across international markets. The ideal candidate brings experience with eCommerce merchandising workflows, international product content, content syndication for EMEA retailers, and regional retail partner requirements, along with strong organizational and technical skills. Experience with Product Experience Management (PXM) platforms such as Salsify is preferred.
The Senior Associate will work closely with cross-functional partners across time zones to manage new item setup requests, coordinate international launch priorities, execute digital merchandising activities, and ensure products are accurately represented and ready to launch across EMEA eCommerce channels. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities across international markets, and a proactive approach to solving content, workflow, and digital shelf challenges.
How You’ll Contribute to Newell’s Success
Manage and coordinate digital merchandising requests, ensuring requirements are accurately captured, prioritized, and routed for execution
Lead new item setup and onboarding for EMEA markets, owning end-to-end execution from initial item creation through digital shelf readiness across international retailer and syndication platforms
Coordinate project workflows and deliverables within Jira, maintaining visibility to priorities, timelines, dependencies, and outstanding actions
Ensure product content is accurate, complete, and retailer-ready to support successful product launches and customer requirements
Support content syndication and retailer onboarding activities across key EMEA retail and marketplace partners, ensuring content meets regional format, language, and compliance requirements
Partner with Brand, Sales, Supply Chain, eCommerce, IT, and international cross-functional teams across EMEA and North America to gather requirements, resolve issues, and execute new item setup and digital merchandising activities
Monitor content and project readiness, proactively identifying data gaps, workflow issues, or risks that may impact launches and timelines
Apply digital merchandising best practices and established content standards to improve content quality and consistency
Troubleshoot product content, data, workflow, and digital shelf issues, escalating more complex challenges when appropriate
Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of digital merchandising tools, processes, and workflows, including opportunities to leverage automation and PXM capabilities
Provide project and segment status updates, helping maintain visibility to workload, priorities, and execution progress
Develop a strong understanding of EMEA retailer requirements, regional market nuances, and international digital merchandising processes, serving as a subject matter resource for the team on international new item setup and market onboarding
Candidate Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in eCommerce, Digital Merchandising, Content Operations, or a related field
2+ years of experience in digital merchandising, content syndication, e-commerce operations, product content, project coordination, or related disciplines
Understanding of eCommerce merchandising practices, digital shelf requirements, product content, and the processes required to bring products to market across digital channels
Experience with Product Experience Management (PXM) and digital content platforms; Salsify preferred
Experience working with systems such as Salsify, Syndigo, Stibo, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Workfront, Jira, or similar platforms
Understanding of how product data and content flow through PXM, syndication, retailer, and marketplace ecosystems
Experience supporting international new item setup, product launches, content syndication, and retailer onboarding across EMEA or other international markets within CPG, consumer durables, retail, or related environments preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, workflows, and deadlines
Ability to analyze merchandising and content challenges, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, technology, and commercial teams
Self-directed and comfortable taking ownership of work, managing competing priorities, and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
The Remote base pay range for this position is from $70,400. to $96,800. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position
