Overview

As a Sr. Actuarial Consultant in Retirement Plan Services, you will play a key role in supporting pricing, risk, and strategic initiatives to help profitably grow the business. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.

What you’ll be doing

Rate Setting for Stable Value Products

Support the development and refinement of rate setting methodologies for stable value products. Collaborate with Product and Finance teams to ensure rates align with market conditions, risk appetite, and profitability goals.

Reporting & Automation

Provide support for comprehensive reporting of sold business, including key financial metrics for corporate stakeholders and RPS management. Provide administrative support for product initiatives, ensuring strong controls and minimizing operational risk. Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and enhance data visualization to improve efficiency and insight.

Strategic Projects

Assist with strategic initiatives across the business, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and profitability assessments. Apply critical thinking to evaluate business challenges and recommend actionable solutions.

Risk Management and Product Support

Evaluate risk management strategies, investment changes, and hedging approaches to support our portfolio of products. Contribute to the design, build, and review of pricing models and tools from a risk lens. Assess their impact on product risk and profitability, and communicate insights to leadership.

What we’re looking for

Must-Haves

  • 5-7+ years of experience in pricing, reporting, or risk management within financial services
  • Actuarial credentials (FSA or ASA with additional years of experience)
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of actuarial/mathematical financial concepts
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., VBA, Python, Dataiku) and advanced Excel
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw valid conclusions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Data Science, or a related field

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in actuarial or data science roles
  • Retirement Industry experience

The pay range for this position is $93,300 - $169,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
