Bancroft Staffing Partners is partnering with an established architecture firm to hire a Senior Project Manager for K–12/DSA projects in Northern California. The role emphasizes leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing budgets, and navigating DSA approvals while fostering strong school-district relationships.

The position offers a hybrid work model with 3 days in-office, supports professional development, ESOP participation, and long-term opportunities in project leadership within education.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of architectural experience with substantial K–12/DSA project management.
• Strong DSA experience on California public school projects.
• Proven ability to lead multiple project teams, budgets, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead K–12 education projects, including new schools, campus modernizations, renovations, and facility improvements.
• Manage projects through programming, design, documentation, DSA approvals, bidding, and construction administration.
• Serve as the primary liaison with school districts, administrators, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, staffing, contracts, consultant deliverables, and profitability.
• Coordinate technical teams to ensure design quality, code compliance, constructability, and successful delivery.
• Support client relationships, business development, and long-term education practice growth.
• Mentor project architects, designers, and emerging project managers.

Senior Project Manager – K–12 / DSA (Education)

Location(s): San Jose, CA

Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days in per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs)

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – K–12 / DSA (Education) to lead significant public school projects throughout Northern California. This role is ideal for a seasoned architectural project manager with extensive DSA experience, strong school district relationships, and the ability to successfully manage multiple project teams, budgets, and complex educational developments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead K–12 education projects, including new schools, campus modernizations, renovations, and facility improvements.
• Manage projects through programming, design, documentation, DSA approvals, bidding, and construction administration.
• Serve as the primary liaison with school districts, administrators, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, staffing, contracts, consultant deliverables, and overall profitability.
• Coordinate technical teams to ensure design quality, code compliance, constructability, and successful delivery.
• Support client relationships, business development initiatives, and long-term education practice growth.
• Mentor project architects, designers, and emerging project managers.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 12–15+ years of architectural experience, including substantial K–12 / DSA project management experience.
• Strong DSA project experience required, including California public school projects.
• Proven success leading educational projects from initial design through construction.
• Strong relationships with school districts and familiarity with public agency processes.
• Experience managing multiple project teams, consultants, budgets, and schedules.
• Working knowledge of Revit, Bluebeam, and architectural project management tools.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field.
• California Licensed Architect (RA) preferred.
• Exceptional client-facing communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
