Dakota DesignStaff, Inc. is seeking a Senior Architect | Project Manager to lead design-driven projects in Boston, MA.

You will guide projects from programming through construction, coordinating with clients, consultants, and an experienced architectural team to deliver thoughtful, sustainable design. The role emphasizes project management and project architecture, requiring strong leadership, communication, and technical skills, plus a commitment to building code compliance and high-quality

Qualifications

  • 10 to 15+ years of professional architectural experience.
  • Licensed Architect (RA) preferred.
  • Experience leading projects through all phases of design and construction.
  • Experience with educational, municipal, institutional, or other public-sector projects.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and public bidding processes.
  • Proficiency with ArchiCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and consultant coordination.
  • Maintain design continuity while ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, municipalities, and school districts.

  • Build consensus among user groups and community partners.
  • Guide design solutions that balance functionality, sustainability, and long-term value.
  • Oversee construction documents and technical quality.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and construction standards.

We're seeking a Senior Architect | Project Manager to join our client’s collaborative, design-driven studio. Your strengths leans towards Project Management and/or Project Architecture, you'll have the opportunity to lead projects from early planning through construction while working closely with clients, consultants, and an experienced team of architects committed to thoughtful, sustainable design.
