Job summary

This Sr Data Architect role at Baxter Healthcare will design and implement the data architecture of pipelines and models across enterprise databases. You will guide Data Engineers on best practices, develop secure data pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed analytics in business operations.

You should bring a strong background in data architecture, SQL, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing, with cloud experience and a proactive approach to privacy and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred; 5 years of experience in data modeling or data warehousing.
• 5 years of AWS or Azure experience; strong background in SQL and ETL/ELT tools.
• Unix/Linux experience; data engineering or data pipeline development is desirable.
• Strong data architecture principles and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with machine learning and predictive modeling.

Your Role at Baxter

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr Data Architect to join our team at Baxter Healthcare. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the data architecture of data pipelines and modeling data into databases that expose data to the enterprise. This position requires a strong background in Data Architecture, SQL, Data Modeling, ETL/ELT, Data Warehousing, and Database technologies. What you'll be doing:

• Designing and implementing the data architecture of data pipelines.
• Creating and maintaining Data Models that represent and optimize the data for databases.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred 5 years of experience in data modeling or data warehousing.
• 5 years of experience in AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud computing platform Strong background in SQL, ETL/ELT tools, Data Modeling tools, and RDBMS.
• Preferred experience with Unix, Linux or equivalent Experience with data engineering or data pipeline development is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles and patterns.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with machine learning and predictive modeling.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $152,000.00 to $198,000.00 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
