As an Applied Scientist, you will work with talented peers pushing the frontier of computer vision and machine learning technology to deliver the best experience for our neighbors. This position requires experience with developing Computer Vision, Multi-modal LLMs and/or Vision Language Models. You will collaborate with different Amazon teams to make informed decisions on the best practices in machine learning to build highly-optimized integrated hardware and software platforms.

Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of building machine learning models for business applications.

• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating novel algorithms and advancing the state of the art.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
• Experience shaping business strategy for technical products or services for large enterprises or partners.
• Experience prototyping, designing, optimizing, implementing and deploying computer vision applications and tools.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
