Applications Programmer Sr.
This position will serve as the sustainment lead and sustainment SME, providing expert level knowledge of sustainment life cycle management activities for programs and project operations. The incumbent will analyze functional business applications and design specifications for areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert level knowledge of sustainment life cycle management activities for programs and project operations.
- Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts.
- Develop block diagrams and logic flowcharts.
- Translate detailed design into computer software.
- Design, code, test, debug, and refine computer software to produce the required product.
- Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
- Enhance software to reduce operating time and improve efficiency.
- Provide technical direction to programmers, as required, to ensure program deadlines are met.
- Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and desired results.
- Communicate accurate information clearly and concisely.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology related field with ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- Expert experience and knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities for programs and project operations.
- Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) to support Low‑Code/No‑Code Development Platform models.
- Experience using low‑code/no‑code business process modeling notation (BPMN) tools.
- Experience developing application/process automation software based on BPMN models.
- Experience in agile and hybrid low‑code application development.
- Experience as an application programmer on large‑scale DBMS, knowledge of computer equipment, and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives.
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
- Must possess IT‑II Non‑Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) at time of proposal submission.
