Job description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain custom reports in Workday using various report types (advanced, matrix, composite).
  2. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other business units to gather report requirements.
  3. Develop reports using Workday’s BIRT and Prism for more complex reporting needs.
  4. Comprehend data integrations from point-to-point systems as well as holistic interchange services rendering effective data quality and dependable exchanges of digital information.
  5. Identify, assess, and solve complex business problems for integrating the Workday cloud application with external applications across HR, Finance, and other areas where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  6. Design, build, and support testing of Workday integration code base including Studio, EIB and supporting 3rd party coding.
  7. Responsible for timely identification and escalation of risks and development of alternative technical and functional approaches when necessary.
  8. Good understanding on the Security Configuration and Business Process setup in the tenant.
  9. Act as the liaison between the assigned internal/external business groups(s) (HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, Software vendors, etc.).
  10. Create and maintain documentation for new and existing integrations.
  11. Perform full system regression testing for Workday updates to ensure security access and integrations are functioning as expected.
  12. Ability to understand business needs, troubleshoot issues, diagnose root cause and provide potential solutions to problems.

Qualifications

  1. Strong proficiency in Workday's report writing tools, including Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports.
  2. Good knowledge of Workday Security area (data security policy and business process security policy).
  3. Knowledge of Workday Extend Graph API.
  4. Experience with EDI, XML, XSLT, Web services, SOAP, REST, JSON, Javascript or other integration technologies.
  5. Knowledge of Workday integration tools including Workday Studio, EIB’s, Report writer (BIRT), Core Connectors and PECI integration.
  6. Good understanding of the Workday modules (HCM, Recruiting, Absence, Learning, Performance Management, etc.) and hands-on experience is a plus not a must.
  7. Good understanding of agile methodologies, process and change management tools and techniques.
  8. Ability to be effectively and actively engaged on multiple, parallel projects of all sizes in both leading and supporting roles.
  9. Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills required to interact with colleagues and internal customers.
  10. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams who are in global locations and varying time zones.
  11. Experience with Workday HCM, Financials, or Payroll.
