BigBear.ai is seeking a Sr. Application Developer with a Front-End focus to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The role is based in Washington, DC with hybrid SCIF support, and requires TS/SCI clearance.

You will contribute to the SOURCE team, building features and integrating with legacy systems while leveraging AI and containerization. You will independently handle complex tasks, innovate on solutions, and drive major technology initiatives.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience in application or software development, or Bachelor’s with 10+ years as a substitute.
• Tech Stack includes Angular, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, NestJS, Node, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Docker.
• Mandatory experience with Node.js with Typescript, SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch.

Overview

BigBear.ai is seeking a Sr. Application Developer with Front-End focus to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). You will be joining our amazing BigBear.ai team to provide development for legacy and existing systems whether it’s building out new features, enhancements, or bug fixes and adding features that will allow our successor system to integrate with older legacy systems so that both systems can co-exist.

This position will be based out of Washington, D.C. and will require hybrid SCIF support.

What you will do

As a Senior-Level Application Developer, you will serve on our SOURCE team, the flagship application for the directorate that serves as the homepage across the IC and the main platform for FINTEL.

Some of your duties will require you to independently manage multiple complex work assignments with minimal oversight and review. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable. Applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.

What you need to have

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Master’s degree and 8+ years of experience with application or software development with least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years or Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience with application or software development as a substitute to a Master’s degree.
• Tech Stack: Angular, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, NestJS, Node, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Docker
• Experience: Full-stack developer supporting the development of a new iteration of the SOURCE that is interactive, leverages AI, and is containerized (transition from VM to containers).
• Mandatory experience with Node.js with Typescript, SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch

• Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team
