Job summary

Wealth Management is seeking an experienced Sr Application Developer to lead CRD enhancements and integrations using the Charles River API Framework. You will work across frontend and backend APIs, configure CRD Work Benches, and ensure robust end-to-end delivery for investment workflows.

Applicants should have 10+ years in application development within financial services, solid SQL skills, and hands-on CRD experience.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in Application Development in financial services.
  • Hands-on experience with the Charles River API Framework (frontend and backend).
  • Advanced SQL – complex queries, performance tuning.
  • Java or C# for integrations and support.
  • REST API integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Python programming.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of CRD enhancements: requirements, design, CRD configuration, integrations, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Configure Manager Work Bench or Central Work Bench layouts, workflows, rules, and result sets.
  • Hands-on work with the Charles River API Framework, including frontend and backend APIs.
  • Build and support integration workflows using REST APIs, services, and messaging frameworks.
  • Ensure Start‑of‑Day readiness for CRD and system stability.

Job description

Client: Wealth Management

Position: Sr Application Developer - Charles River Development (CRD)

Compensation: $120K - $140K + Bonus

Location: Camas, WA or Plano, TX or Tampa, FL - On site 100% first 90 days and then 1 day a week WFH

Work Authorization: US or GC ONLY NO H1B's

Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent

Experience:
  • Must have financial institution or wealth management background in investment
  • Hands-on experience with the Charles River API Framework (frontend and backend)
  • 10+ years experience in Application Development:
  • Advanced SQL – complex queries, performance tuning
  • Java or C# – ability to interpret, collaborate, and support integrations
  • REST API integration, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Python Programming
  • 3+ years CRD Implementation / Customization , Workbench (Manager or Central) configuration experience
  • Experience with CRD Batch Automation, including monitoring and exception handling
  • Familiarity with portfolio optimization concepts (risk factors, constraints, optimization models)
  • Experience with optimization tools such as Axioma and OMET/Gap Point.
  • Experience with Order Management workflows, markets, and trading processes (Equities & Fixed Income)
Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of CRD enhancements: requirements, design, CRD configuration, integrations, testing, deployment, and ongoing support
  • Configure Manager Work Bench or Central Work Bench layouts, workflows, rules, and result sets
  • Hands-on work with the Charles River API Framework, including:
  • Frontend APIs – UI workflows, triggers, CRD interaction points
  • Backend APIs – data calls, order submissions, guideline checks, reference data, trading flows
  • Build and support integration workflows using REST APIs, services, and messaging frameworks
  • Apply working knowledge of portfolio optimization concepts (risk models, constraints, exposures, and transaction cost analysis)
  • Familiarity with industry optimization platforms including Axioma (portfolio construction, risk model integration) and OMEGA Point (optimization and risk analytics tools)
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Engineering teams to support optimization workflows feeding CRD
  • Ensure Start‑of‑Day readiness for CRD and support ongoing system stability
  • Translate our requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications, user stories, diagrams, and interface documentation
