You will design and implement scalable data pipelines, reporting solutions, and BI assets supporting healthcare and pharmacy datasets.

The role requires strong SQL, Python, Databricks, and ETL/ELT expertise, plus data modeling and cloud platform experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare analytics, healthcare services, statistics, data engineering, BI, or related field, with 4+ years of experience.
• 3+ years designing, developing, and supporting data pipelines, integration, and reporting with healthcare/pharmacy data.
• Strong experience with SQL, Python, Databricks and modern data engineering frameworks.
• Experience optimizing ETL/ELT processes for large healthcare datasets.
• Knowledge of data modeling, relational databases, data warehousing, and cloud platforms.
• Understanding of healthcare data structures including claims, eligibility, pharmacy, provider, and population health data.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT processes for healthcare datasets.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements.

Senior Analytics & Reporting Consultant | 4+ Years of Experience | Hybrid | Chicago, IL | Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking a Senior Analytics & Reporting Consultant with 4+ years of experience to provide healthcare data engineering, analytics, integration, and reporting support. This is a Contract opportunity.

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Hybrid – Chicago, IL

Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours

Worker Type: W2

Core Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, healthcare services, statistical analysis, data engineering, business intelligence, insurance economics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting data pipelines, data integration processes, and reporting solutions using healthcare and pharmacy data
• Strong experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, and modern data engineering frameworks
• Experience developing and optimizing ETL/ELT processes for large-scale healthcare datasets
• Experience with data modeling, relational databases, data warehousing, and cloud-based data platforms
• Understanding of healthcare data structures including claims, eligibility, pharmacy, provider, and population health data

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have

• Advanced SQL expertise, including complex joins, window functions, query optimization, stored procedures, and performance tuning
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and distributed data processing frameworks
• Strong Python programming skills for data engineering, automation, and data quality monitoring
• Experience with Databricks Workflows, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar technologies
• Experience developing scalable data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and DevOps concepts
• Experience implementing data quality frameworks and production support processes

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support scalable data pipelines, integrations, and reporting solutions
• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT processes supporting healthcare and pharmacy datasets
• Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams to understand data requirements
• Develop trusted data assets, automated workflows, and self-service analytics capabilities
• Support dashboards, ad hoc analysis, data profiling, and downstream data deliveries
• Participate in cross-functional projects delivering data solutions and operational improvements
• Support data quality, performance, scalability, and reliability
• Apply appropriate data governance, security, and regulatory compliance standards
