Role Summary

A successful candidate will have expertise in data visualization best practices, translating high level requirements into intuitive dashboards, passion for storytelling with data, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of business intelligence tools and technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders in Product Development, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Vehicle Line to define key metrics, analyze data, build robust data models and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Convert ambiguous business requests into technical requirements.
  • Contribute to our code-based data transformations (with SQL, dbt, Databricks) to provide user-facing analytics tables.
  • Drive data democratization by building and automating centralized dashboards, analytical models, SQL scripts, and data models for functional and executive level stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of excellence within the analytics community by promoting best practices in data pipelines, dashboards, code review, and core data concepts.
  • Drive projects from inception to delivery ensuring that your data solutions deliver reliable data and actionable insights to grow Rivian's business.
  • Be the SME on data and visualization best practices for business stakeholders and deliver training to bridge the gap between data and business understanding.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, analytics, or equivalent practical experience; Master's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of analytics-focused experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL; experience with DBT is preferred.
  • Experience with programming languages (Python, R, etc.) to manage data pipelines.
  • Strong proficiency in developing data visualizations using Hex, ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Looker, Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of Atlassian products such as Jira & Confluence.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple teams.
  • Extremely detail-oriented.
  • Strong communication skills, able to present technical solutions to senior stakeholders and build relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $121,500.00 - $151,900.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
