Job summary

The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Information Technology, seeks a Sr. Analytics Developer contractor based in Atlanta, GA to design, develop, test, and support complex ETL programs for an Enterprise Data Warehouse.

The role requires Power BI, BigQuery, and Informatica IDMC expertise, strong SQL/PLSQL, and data warehousing knowledge. You will implement metadata, mappings, and reporting components and mentor teammates.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 6 to 7 years of experience working with Power BI, IDMC, and BigQuery.
• Ability to design and develop complex Informatica mappings, sessions, and workflows and identify areas of optimizations.
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS 19c.
• Effective communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are required.
• Proven ability and desire to mentor/coach others in a team environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of the solution's metadata, ETL, and reporting components, including testing and deployment.
• Review and translate business processes into BI reporting and analysis solutions.
• Follow the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process and work under project management methodologies.
• Identify and tune BI application performance bottlenecks.
• Produce client deliverables such as detailed design documentation, configuration documentation, unit test plans, and training curriculum.

The desired candidate will design, develop, test, maintain, and support complex data extract, transformation, and load (ETL) programs for an Enterprise Data Warehouse. Understanding how complex data should be transformed from the source and loaded into the data warehouse is critical to this job.

• Expertise and solid experience in BI Tools Power BI and BigQuery
• Strong IDMC(Informatica) technical knowledge in the design, development, and management of complex Informatica mappings, sessions, and workflows
• Strong programming skills, relational database skills with expertise in Advanced SQL and PL/SQL, indexing, and query tuning
• Experienced in Business Intelligence and Data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of the solution's metadata, ETL, and reporting components, including testing and, at times, deployment.
• Extensive experience in data and root cause analysis and proven problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities.
• Analytical capabilities to slice and dice data and display data in reports for the best user experience.
• Demonstrated ability to review and translate business processes into BI reporting and analysis solutions.
• Ability to follow the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process and should be able to work under any project management methodologies used.
• Ability to follow best practices and standards.

Required Qualifications
