STRATEGIC MINDZ LLC is seeking a Data Reporting Analyst to join a Georgia modernization program. You will design, build, and maintain the reporting layer, data pipelines, and analytics products that support operations, management decisions, and mandated reporting.

This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and business intelligence. You will collaborate with program staff and analysts to deliver dashboards, scheduled reports, and analytical datasets for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data reporting, BI, or analytics development.
• Advanced SQL with optimization for large datasets.
• Experience with enterprise BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, Cognos, or MicroStrategy).
• Experience building/maintaining ETL/ELT processes (Informatica, SSIS, Talend, dbt).
• Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2).
• Familiarity with dimensional modeling and data warehousing.
• Ability to gather reporting requirements from non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong data validation and QA practices.
• Version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Data Reporting Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Reporting & Analytics Developer to join a State of Georgia modernization program. You will design, build, and maintain the reporting layer, data pipelines, and analytics products that support program operations, management decision-making, and mandated state and federal reporting.

This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and business intelligence. You will work directly with program staff and business analysts to turn operational data into dashboards, scheduled reports, and analytical datasets that stakeholders rely on.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain operational and analytical reports, dashboards, and data visualizations


• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to move data from transactional systems into the data warehouse or reporting layer


• Write, tune, and troubleshoot complex SQL - stored procedures, views, window functions, and performance-critical queries


• Develop and maintain data models (star/snowflake schemas, dimensional models) supporting reporting and analytics


• Produce recurring state and federal compliance reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and on-time delivery


• Partner with business analysts and program staff to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications


• Implement data quality checks, reconciliation logic, and validation rules across pipelines


• Support ad-hoc data requests and analysis from program leadership


• Document data definitions, lineage, business rules, and report specifications


• Participate in code reviews, testing, and release activities


• Troubleshoot data discrepancies across source systems and reporting outputs

Mandatory Qualifications

• Professional experience in data reporting, business intelligence, or analytics development


• Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning against large datasets


• Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise BI/reporting tool: Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, Cognos, or MicroStrategy


• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT processes using tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend, dbt, or equivalent


• Working knowledge of relational databases - SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or DB2


• Experience with dimensional data modeling and data warehouse design principles


• Demonstrated ability to gather reporting requirements directly from non-technical business stakeholders


• Strong data validation, reconciliation, and quality-assurance practices


• Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience on state or federal government projects


• Experience on Healthcare Industry.


• Experience producing federally mandated reports and understanding of associated compliance requirements


• Cloud data platform experience - AWS (Redshift, Glue, Athena, S3), Azure (Synapse, Data Factory), or Snowflake


• Python or R for data analysis, automation, or scripting


• Experience with modern data stack tooling (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran)


• Understanding of data governance, master data management, and data cataloging


• Knowledge of PHI/PII handling and HIPAA-adjacent data privacy requirements


• Experience with agile delivery methodologies
