Job summary

Collins Aerospace in San Jose, CA seeks a Sr. Analyst, Security to join our Applied Signal Technology team supporting Special Programs. The role focuses on administering comprehensive security programs in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with ICDs, NISPOM, and related directives.

The candidate will develop security education, manage inspections, and coordinate across internal and government stakeholders. A Secret clearance and US citizenship are required, with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

  • Requires university degree or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant security experience.
  • Active and transferable Secret clearance required before start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory for clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with ICDs, DoD 5205.07, NISPOM and related security directives.
  • Develop and maintain security plans and CONOPs.
  • Create and deliver security education and awareness programs.
  • Perform self-inspections and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate peer reviews across sites.
  • Support government compliance inspections and corrective actions.
  • Handle program admin tasks: personnel processing, visitor control, investigations, TS accountability, document handling.
  • Manage physical security for SAPFs/SCIFs per ICD 705; prepare accreditation packages.
  • Travel up to 10%.

Applied Signal Technology (AST) is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Security for a multi-faceted position working in support of Special Programs. This individual will help develop, administer, and maintain comprehensive security programs in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills to prepare, articulate, and deliver compliance requirements to both internal and external stakeholders. Candidate must be able to multi-task and demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to work with other team members, government customers, employees, and leaders at all levels of the organization and be able to develop solutions to complex problems with a degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.

What You Will Do:
  • Understanding, implementing and ensuring compliance with Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), the DoD Manual 5205.07, NISPOM and related Industrial Security Guidance Manuals or Special Program Security directives
  • Security plans (Standard Operating Procedures, OPSEC) and Concepts of Operations (CONOPs), etc.
  • Creating, updating and administering security education, training and awareness to include program indoctrinations, refresher training, and debriefings.
  • Conducting self-inspections and recommending / implementing corrective actions.
  • Conducting peer reviews at other sites.
  • Oversight/participation in government compliance inspections and implementing corrective actions, as necessary.
  • Program administrative work: personnel processing, visitor control, program related investigations, TS accountability, alarm testing, dispatching and receiving program documents/material and resolving other related program security issues.
  • Managing physical security and constructions requirements for SAPFs and SCIFs in accordance with ICD 705; submitting pre-construction and accreditation packages to include Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs) and Tempest checklists.
  • Travel up to 10%
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Relevant experience executing security processes and projects within special program access and collateral environments.
  • Industrial security experience preferably in a Facility Security Officer (FSO) / Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) role.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NISPOM and related directives.
  • Experience with SIMS and DISS.
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community contracts and special access programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs and priorities independently.
  • Existing Top-Secret SCI (TS/SCI) active within the last 24 months
