Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, is hiring for a security role onsite in McKinney, Texas. The role requires active DoD Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SAP access.

You will support personnel, physical, and program security procedures and help maintain SOPs across programs. The ideal candidate has a university degree (or advanced degree) with at least two years of relevant security experience, plus familiarity with DoDM 5205.07, ICD-705, and related policies.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience with minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain SAP access.
• Experience with DoD security policies (NISPOM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support security procedures in accordance with 32 CFR 117, DoDM 5205.07, SEADs, and ICD-705.
• Develop and maintain local SOPs for security.
• Support subcontractor security requirements and provide guidance.
• Process personnel security actions per DoDM 5205.07.
• Participate in internal assessments and government inspections.
• Document security incidents and prepare basic reports.

What You Will Do

• Support execution of personnel, physical, and program security procedures in accordance with 32 CFR 117, DoDM 5205.07, SEADs, and ICD‑705
• Assist in developing and maintaining local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Support subcontractor security requirements and provide general guidance as needed
• Process personnel security actions in alignment with DoDM 5205.07
• Participate in internal assessments and Government inspections
• Assist with documenting security incidents and preparing basic reports
• Ability to work extended hours in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
• This position may require travel on company business

Qualifications

• “You Must Have”:
  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or
  • An Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SAP access.
  • Prior experience supporting SAP or SCI programs.
  • Valid driver’s license (may involve escorting individuals across business locations).
• “We Prefer”:
  • Experience with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) or other Government security policies.
  • Familiarity with NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07, and/or ICD‑705.
  • Degree in Business Management, Security, Criminal Justice, Information Management, or related field.
  • National Security experience.
  • DCSA/CDSE coursework (e.g., Introduction to SAPs, ICD‑705, SFPC, SPSC, PSC).
  • Experience working in a Special Access Program (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartment information (SCI) environment.
  • Experience reviewing Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD254’s).
  • Experience using DISS and NISS.
  • Self-starter comfortable with minimal supervision.
  • Good interpersonal skills and professional demeanor

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
